About One Dance with a Stranger:

Emily Van Sheldon has no intentions of letting anyone interfere with her future plans, least of all handsome Wade Hart. Fighting her way out from living on the streets makes it easy for her to ignore any emotions in favor of comforts. Emily has perfected her cold exterior with callous efficiency.

Wade Hart, a country music superstar, can't understand his obsession with Emily. He refuses to accept her engagement to his brother might interfere with his own plans. He is well aware of the fire beneath her icy exterior.

I was working by myself on a campground my husband and I owned, cleaning bathrooms, cutting grass, raking, etc. and especially dealing with people who complained about the oddest things at the oddest times. When winter and slow times came, just for a break, I rented an apartment in town and proceeded to write this story. My daughter gave me Alan Jackson's CD 'Who I Am' and listening to those songs inspired me so much develop my hero. Even the title was created because of his song 'Dancing All Around It'.

When I watched the movie 'Pure Country' I became completely entralled. A young George Strait was just too much to ignore. His looks and character needed further development. So I began to imagine what he might be like and my hero Wade Hart was created.

About the Author

Mary lives in the wilderness of the Rocky Mountains and travels extensively throughout North America. She belongs to the Romance Writer's Association of America and the Alberta Romance Writer's Association. She attended many conventions in both Canada and the USA. She has edited/critiqued manuscripts and has completed five romance manuscripts. She has published - "Hawk's Gift", "Alberta Wild Rose" and the newly released - 'One Dance with a Stranger'.

She has written a youth manuscript "Danika Dreams - Where's Hermie?" , a work in progress and is presently researching and writing a romance suspense novel 'Angel's Among Us'.

Mary is an avid reader and enjoys country music, cowboys, horses, the outdoors, history and travelling. She has completed "Writing for Children and Teenagers" and "The Writing School". She attended DeVry Institute of Technology in Calgary, as well as completed courses in Adobe Photoshop and Movie Editing. Other accomplishments are in Accounting and she is a Certified Weather Observer.

Her true passions are writing romance, exploring and researching both in western USA and Canada.
